Coconut Beginnings
Build Your Island
The Coconut Tree is a marvel in time, space and evolution. After millions of years of development, nature has developed a complex yet simple fruit. It provides food with its meat, nutrients with it's water. Most importantly it builds land by holding in the sand and rock and providing a medium for which itself grows.
Somewhere, right now, a tropical breeze is swaying the branch of a coconut tree. This wind knocks the fruit of the tree onto the beach. Gentle and stormy waters carry the coconut across the sea depositing it on speck of sand and rock. The coconut outer shell is pointed at one end with dull edges from top to bottom. Theses edges act a a cork screw which plants the coconut into the beach. The outer shell begins to decompose breaking away to reveal the inner Hairy fruit. In that natural environment of sand, compost, rock and coconut fiber the perfect medium is born to nurture the coconut tree -- That tree grows holding onto the the sand around the rock. Depositing other coconuts on to this newly formed beach. They all repeat the same action . Together they build an island.
Now think about your life, and the islands you want to build. Some are big others are small. But each task, each accomplishment is the start of your own island. Build your Island.
